Arden Windows offers factory applied coatings utilising high performance water based micro-porous paints from GORI to provide a semi or fully finished product. Due to the special formulations used for our factory, we can achieve a higher film build than by brush application which gives greater durability. For this reason, we would recommend a fully finished product where budget permits.

Windows are supplied as standard with one base coat and one additional coat to give a semi- finish. All semi-finished products incorporate: Flow coated water based Boron timber preservative One base coat opaque primer or translucent stain Either one additional coat translucent stain in the specified colour or one mid coat opaque paint coat. A minimum of 1 coat of preservative plus a further 3 coats of paint or stain are applied for fully finished items. Please note that the Colour Guide is available for download but colours shown are indicative only and colour accuracy is not guaranteed.  We can also match any RAL, NCS or BS paint colour of your choosing at extra cost.

We recommend that after storage or after following trades have completed, it may be necessary to add a final ‘lustre' coat to bring our windows up to pristine condition, even if the fully finished option has been ordered.

With the excellent performance of GORI coatings, depending on aspect and location, our fully finished products should only need one extra coat of paint every 5-7 years. Please contact us if you have any further queries regarding our preservation and paint and stain finishing process.
